Performance Plus Automotive began operations in March of 1992 in Superior, Wisconsin. Through the years we have continued to grow, in 1993 remodelling our shop in the big red barn, and adding on again in 2002 to increase our space to 4500 square feet. Over the years owner Rick Benedickt, with 25+ years experience in automotive repair, has balanced and blueprinted hundreds of engines - from racing setups to everyday drivers, and in addition to the complete restoration projects and consulting he is known for, also works his magic on suspensions, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems. Rick has enjoyed working with high performance cars since 1977, and has an Associate Degree in Automotive Repair from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute (WITC), where he continues to serve on the Advisory Board. Rick is also a Sealed Power™ Doctor of Motors. No work is complete at Performance Plus Automotive until Rick himself has personally test driven the vehicle and is satisfied that all work is perfect.
